Happy Monday, my loves! I hope you all had a restful weekend. Since I’m in the mountains for the summer, it’s already starting to feel a bit like fall so I wanted to share my nail polish faves for the seasonal transition. A few leaves are already changing colors where I am!

I know I might be WAY ahead of some of you, but it couldn’t hurt to be prepared, right?

These shades caught my eye this summer and for the coming fall season. I’m a big fan of the grays (no surprise there) and blues for fall, but also love switching it up with some bolder berry colors.

Speaking of a season transition, you guys may know that I’m transitioning my beauty products to be cruelty-free/vegan. I talked about some of my fave bath products brands in a past post so I wanted to do the same thing with my nail polish.

Unfortunately, over the last several years, I’ve accumulated mostly Essie polishes. Quite frankly, it’s because their white bottles are aesthetically-pleasing and I’ve found their formulas to be some of the best.

However, that means I have some ground to make up when it comes to switching those out for cruelty-free options.

My current go-to nail polish brand is Ella + Mila. Not only are the polishes cruelty-free, but they also avoid using the majority of harmful (and potentially carcinogenic) chemicals that we find in typical nail polish. Plus, I can’t possibly resist the elephants on the bottles! Their formulas seem to be decent and I love their nail polish remover as well. I feel much less guilty about painting my nails every week when I know it’s less dangerous for me and for our furry friends.

I was shocked to find even Urban Decay has a cruelty-free nail polish. I believe most of their products are already cruelty-free, but I was somehow unaware they had released a nail polish line! Maybe I’m living under a rock. It’s mostly sold out right now, but they should be restocking soon!

Below are a list of many other amazing cruelty-free nail polish brands. You can find virtually any color between these brands.

I’m going to start pulling out my most loved Essie colors to try and find cruelty-free matches. For example, I wore Essie’s Bahama Mama to death last fall and am basically done with the bottle. So, I found a couple of almost identical matches from Ella + Mila and Obsesessive Compulsive Cosmetics.

If you guys need help finding a cruelty-free match for any of your faves, please let me know and I’d be happy to find one for you!
