I can’t believe we’re halfway through September already! Fall is coming quicker and quicker. Usually, I tend to gravitate more toward white, gray and other neutral backgrounds, but I couldn’t resist getting a few photos with the trees in the background. We’re at the point where Tucker is tripping over fallen leaves on our walks. It’s adorable, though! I’m not in the mountains for much longer (only a few more weeks, so sad!) and I’m trying to enjoy as much of the true fall as possible.
I am in no way ready to go back to the Florida heat so if you need me, I’ll be in denial.
I’m trying to wear as many of my favorite fall tops as I can in these last few weeks. I can obviously still wear them in Florida, but it’s just not as comfortable.
You all know I love these mules. I wear them whenever I want to add a bit of masculinity to my outfit. This top is more feminine so the slightly distressed denim along with the mules balance it out well.
Speaking of the top, for some reason, I’ve been drawn to more feminine and lacy tops for this coming fall. I love the sheerness of the lace with the modesty of a higher neck. They’re easy to wear with everything and make you look put-together at a moment’s notice. The only downside to this top: the hook and eye fastener makes things a little complicated. I pretty much always have to ask someone else to surrender their nails to button the back of the top up.
I’ve shared more of my favorite frilly, lacy, girly tops at the end of the post! I don’t think you can go overboard with them for the coming fall and winter.
I hope you guys have a productive yet stress-free week! Tuck and I are heading to Nordstrom’s tomorrow to (hopefully) find some more fall style inspiration.
I highly recommend checking out Zara as well! They have so many trendy tops and sweatshirts right now. I also have my eye on a couple of their bags.
Lots of love!
